HOUSTON – Deputies in west Harris County are piecing together how a suspected drug deal Monday night turned into a deadly shooting, where 1 man was killed and three others on the run.

Details are a bit scarce as investigators are in the early stages of how everything went down, but tell us they were called around 11:15 p.m. to the McDonald’s on North Fry Road.
That’s where responding deputies found a man shot several times; he was rushed to a hospital via helicopter, where he died from his injuries.
Based on the surveillance video, the preliminary information shared by homicide detectives with the Harris Co. Sheriff’s Office, three gunmen in a silver Malibu met in a parking lot at the McDonald’s for a drug deal with the victim when the shooting broke out. They also believe one of the shooters took something from the victim.
Detectives said the victim had two women and three children in his car, ranging from 2 to 9 years old. We’re told no one else was injured. At last check, the shooters were still at large, but an investigation is still being conducted.
