The Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo BBQ Cook-Off is set to kick off this weekend, offering days of delicious food, live entertainment, and family fun.
The BBQ Cook-Off takes place this weekend on Sept. 13 and 14, while the Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo officially kicks off on Sept. 20.

The 41st BBQ Cook-Off at the Pasadena Rodeo Fairgrounds kicks off Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with Saturdayās gates open from noon to 10 p.m.
In addition to the cook-off, attendees can take advantage of a free shuttle service that will run between San Jacinto College and the fairgrounds. The service operates from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The cook-off is just the beginning of the excitement, as the Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo celebrates its 75th anniversary with nine days of thrilling rodeo action starting on Sep. 20.
Rodeo events will be held nightly at the Ross Kelly Arena starting at 7:30 p.m., with a special 2 p.m. start time on Sundays. Concerts will follow two hours after the rodeo starts each night.
For families with young children, the popular Mutton Bustinā event will also be featured during the rodeo. Children ages 3-7 and under 60 pounds can register online to compete, with entry costing $30 per ride. Check-in for Mutton Bustinā begins at 6 p.m. each night, with 1 p.m. check-in on Sundays.
As the rodeo marks a milestone anniversary, visitors can expect a full slate of activities, from XTREME Bull Riding to American Freestyle Bullfights, along with opportunities to explore livestock exhibits, kid-friendly attractions, and local vendors.
