LA PORTE, Texas – A young child was flown to a hospital Thursday after being found in a bay in La Porte, according to La Porte Police Department.
Officers, along with La Porte firefighters and EMS, responded at 11:15 a.m. to the bay, located in the 3000 block of Fondren.

Police said the child was revived and taken by air medical to a regional hospital. The child’s condition is unknown.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated by the La Porte Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.
***Update*** Air medical is off the ground. Roadway has been reopened. La Porte Fire Department is on scene of a medical emergency off Broadway. Air medical is on scene, please avoid the area.
