Houston Police Department reported that the body floated all the way from McGregor Way to the 6900 block of Lawndale St. where it was discovered.

The local YouTuber who found the body while filming a fishing video explained the situation to KPRC 2.

“I was filming for YouTube when I found the body and I had to use my drone to fly over and confirm that it was a body,” he wrote in a message shared with us. “After the police arrived, they too were having trouble confirming it was a body and asked me to fly the drone back out to assist them. From the Birdseye view it was unmistakable. I left after they called the recovery team.”

HPD said the investigation is ongoing and there was no further information they could provide at this time.
