Barricaded man arrested after threatening to shoot someone in Harris County standoff

A barricaded man in Harris County was safely apprehended after a tense standoff Tuesday morning with deputies, following threats to shoot someone in the home, according to authorities.

Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office were called to the 11500 block of Brown Trail.

Authorities reported that the people inside the home were able to get out safely, leaving the suspect inside. The man, armed and refusing to surrender, remained barricaded for several hours.

After negotiations, deputies took the man into custody.

He has not been identified, but when this story was published, he had been charged with 3rd-degree felony retaliation.

There were no other injuries.
