HOUSTON – The trial against Gerald Goines is one step closer to being handed over to the jury.
Goines is a former Houston Police narcotics officer accused of falsifying government records for a no-knock search warrant on Harding Street.
The raid became deadly and Rhogena Nicholas, Dennis Tuttle, and their family dog, were killed.
Five officers were injured with four of them being shot.
Thursday, the state rested their case.
