Dive team looking for man who went under water after helping struggling women in E. Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says a dive team is looking for a man who went under water and hasn’t resurfaced after they said he helped two women who were struggling in the water.

The sheriff’s office said the scene is unfolding in the 1900 block of Gulf Pump Road in the Crosby area. This location is in the area of the San Jacinto River at the Xtreme Off-Road Park.

Authorities say the man, believed to be approximately 25-years-old, had gone out into the water to help two women who were struggling and beginning to go under water. He was able to help them, but then he too went under water and has yet to resurface.

The sheriff’s office said the two women were able to make it out of the water. The dive team is currently looking for the man.
