According to authorities, the girl was forced into prostitution over eight days by a group of adults, including Erica Adams. The teen reported being transported to various locations in Harris County where she was compelled to engage in sexual acts with adult men.
HCSO interviewed hotel management to gather evidence supporting the victim’s claims.
While at the hotel, Adams arrived on the scene and was taken into custody. According to HCSO, she admitted to her involvement in the human trafficking operation.
Adams was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail with a $70,000 bond, charged with trafficking of a child engaging in sexual conduct.
Adams had two prior prostitution-related charges, both of which were dismissed. In 2016, she was charged with prostitution, but the case was dismissed due to “HT concerns – special release.” In 2019, she was charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution, and this case was also dismissed.
