It’s unclear how the crash unfolded but police tell us a gray car and the school bus were involved.

Students were on the bus when the crash happened, and Sky 2 above the scene saw children getting evacuated, but the district confirmed in a written statement, no one was injured.

“A driver collided with one of our school buses this morning at Fondren and Chasewind. We are thankful no students or staff on the bus were injured. The bus continued its route to school campuses following the incident. We urge all drivers to be extra cautious near school zones and bus stops, especially during morning and afternoon hours.”

Hours after the original statement, FBISD released a revised statement, clarifying that the route was completed by a replacement bus.
