HOUSTON – Detectives released a sketch photo in hopes someone will recognize the man who attacked a woman at Houston’s Memorial Park in August.

According to the Houston Police Department, the incident happened on Aug. 10 around 5 a.m. in the 6500 block of Memorial Drive.

Police say the woman was jogging on a trail in the park when she was confronted by a man in his twenties who accused her of running over his brother with a vehicle. The man then attacked her, hitting her before dragging her off the trail.

The woman was able to get away and her attacker fled the scene.

Police say the woman told them she had never met the man before and never ran over anyone.

Investigators described the attacker as a Hispanic man, in his early to mid-20s, with black shoulder-length hair.
