A Houston woman has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after a man was critically injured in a shooting at a gas station on Bissonnet Street.
The shooting left a 40-year-old man critically injured at a gas station located at the 9935 block of Bissonnet Street in the early hours of Sept. 24.

The suspect, Alexus Domique Bonner, 29, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives E. Ruiz and N. Aponte, officers responded to a call about a person down and discovered a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
During the investigation, HPD officers were informed of a separate incident involving a woman at a hospital.
The woman claimed she had been assaulted and admitted to shooting a male at a gas station in the Westside Patrol Division’s area.
Alexus Bonner, the suspect in the Bissonnet Street shooting, was identified and gave a statement to detectives while receiving medical treatment for a head laceration.

After further investigation, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office charged Bonner for her role in the shooting. She was booked into the Harris County Jail.
