It starts with a sunrise service at 8:30 a.m. at Deussen Park on Lake Houston, located on Deussen Parkway near East Mount Houston Road.

Funds raised will go directly to MD Anderson Cancer Center.

“It’s just a great way to show our fighters, our little cancer warriors that they have people with them. It can kind of be lonely at times. You know, when you’re stuck in the hospital, when you’re being treated and you feel excluded from the outside world,” said Amber Bender.

Founded in 2008, Addi’s Faith Foundation is dedicated to ending childhood cancer.

“We have made some great progress over the years for pediatric cancer. We have a long, long way to go,” said Bender.

Little Addison Faith was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2007 and lost her battle just a few weeks before her second birthday.
