PASADENA, Texas – If you’re looking for a career change or begin a new chapter in your life, there’s a free event looking to connect you with dozens of employers.
The “Discover Your Future” Fall Job Fair is hosted by the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, Pasadena Loves Local and the Interactive College of Technology. This event is open to the public and will be held this Wednesday, October 2 from 4 - 6 p.m at the Jackson Intermediate School.
“We continue to talk to our employers every day at the [Pasadena] Chamber of Commerce. And one of their biggest challenges still is maintaining a workforce, maintaining qualified jobseekers that want to work,” said Erin Webb, vice president of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce. “They want to go to work every day. So this is our second one [job fair] this year and we’re so excited. Pasadena is huge. It’s the second largest city in Harris County, and we had over 90 employers at the first one and 900 job seekers. So we’re looking to keep growing and growing and keep putting people in jobs that can help change their lives.”
More than 30 employers will be in attendance, ranging from careers in engineering, local grocers, and restaurant partners. “There will be, hiring partners such as staffing companies, available and ready to just network,” said Julianne Echavarria, marketing manager for the Pasadena Economic Development Corporation.

Some employers will also be conducting on-the-spot interviews. Webb recommends job seekers who plan on attending should bring multiple copies of their resumes and come dressed professionally.
“People are ready to hire in all industries, whether it’s your first job or you’re looking for a life changing career, they’re ready for you and they’re ready to hire now,” said Webb.
