HOUSTON – Authorities are piecing together how a fight Tuesday night between three men escalated into one of them getting shot and left for dead in west Houston.
It happened on Overbrook Lane near S Kirkwood and Westheimer just before 8 p.m. when the Houston Police Department found an unidentified man on the sidewalk.

Witnesses report two other men were fighting with the unnamed man when one of them pulled out a gun and shot him.

Investigators say the two other men took off into an apartment complex, and homicide detectives were called to the scene to continue their investigation. No arrests have been made, as of yet.
