Texans had their sleep interrupted Friday morning after getting a Blue Alert for Seth Altman. Investigators said Altman is wanted by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office for shooting an officer.

Despite being considered “armed and dangerous,” many people began looking for Altman on Facebook to give him a piece of their minds.

It’s unclear if the Seth Altman of Memphis, Texas — located in the state’s panhandle — in other words, hundreds of miles away from Houston, closer to Amarillo, is the one officials are looking for, but it didn’t stop folks from calling him out.

EXPLAINER: What is a Blue Alert in Texas and when/why is it issued?

And seriousness aside, the comments are pretty funny.

One user wrote, “I was in the middle of dreaming about my ex and you woke me up cuz you don’t know how to behave,”

Another commented, “Thanks for waking me up bruh.”

And they just get increasingly funnier as you scroll. Here are some of my personal favorites:

“Seth go home omg”

“Bro I gotta be up at 7 am for work. Why you can’t let me get some peaceful sleep?”

“All of Texas is looking for you”

“Seth, you better hope the police find you before I do. No one wakes me up at 4 AM”

“You can run but people are looking for you for waking us up.”

“Most hated dude in Texas this morning!!”

“The eyes of TEXAS are upon you”

“LMAOOO YALL ARE SO UNSERIOUS commenting on a criminals facebook page is so texan omfggg”

“How you got the entire state looking at their phones at 5 a.m.”

And it’s not just people upset at Altman though, many took their frustrations out on law enforcement officials:

“Waking the whole state up before 5:00 am for something that happened at 11:00 last night is a sure fire way to get everyone to turn off their government alerts,” one user wrote on X.

“Why the whole state of Texas has to be alerted ..still don’t know this”

“Don’t approach!!! Ya ***ing right this ginger getting his *** kicked when I see him for making me think we were moving into DEFCON I as a country at 4am…”

If you DO have any information that could help in finding Altman, you’re asked to call 911 or the Hall County Sheriff’s Office at 806-259-2636.
