Fifth Ward woman arrested throwing frozen burrito at store employee’s head

A woman was arrested after allegedly throwing a frozen burrito at a store employee’s head in the Fifth Ward earlier this week.

The crime occurred on Oct. 1 at a Walgreen’s store at 1515 Lockwood Dr.

A worker at the store reportedly tried to confront the woman after suspecting that she was shoplifting. A confrontation ensued, and the woman threw a frozen burrito at the employee, striking them in the forehead.

Authorities were called to the scene, and the suspect was arrested and charged with assault. She was transported to Harris County Jail.
