According to KSAT’s report, the bust involved clearing nearly 300 apartment units. San Antonio Police Department Chief William McManus also indicated that authorities are planning for similar busts at other locations.

Tren de Aragua is a Venezuelan gang that’s origins date back to prisons in South America. However, there has been mounting concerns surrounding the gang’s reported newfound presence on U.S. soil, according to a recent report by the Associated Press.

Earlier this week, KPRC 2′s Bryce Newberry reported on search warrants that showed that Houston police are investigating a possible connection between Jocelyn Nungaray’s suspected killers and the Tren de Aragua gang.

KSAT contributed to this report.
