The fires were first reported late Sunday afternoon by the Harris County Pct. 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones. A short time later, the Houston Fire Department confirmed the reports and said it was working to put out the fires.

Later Saturday night, Briones’ office confirmed that the fires had been handled and thanked the crews for their efforts.
