Harris County mother hears commotion before finding both sons dead in apparent murder-suicide

HOUSTON – Two brothers were found dead just before 2 a.m. Monday in what appears to be a murder-suicide, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.

Details are limited as it’s an active scene, but the Sheriff took to social media saying deputies were called to an apartment on Ella Boulevard off I-45 and W Airtex.

Based on preliminary findings, Sheriff Gonzalez confirmed both men are brothers, the mother telling deputies she heard a commotion in one of the son’s bedrooms.

One of the brothers, 22, has a history of mental health issues and shot his 24-year-old brother (who is autistic) killing him, before turning the gun on himself.

No additional details have been shared, as of this writing, but an investigation continues.
