Dozens of families being forced out of NW Harris County mobile home park receive supportive responses from viewers

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – 53 families being forced to move out of a northwest side mobile home park within 90 days are getting some support from KPRC 2 viewers.

We first brought you this story last week. Neighbors at the Country Road mobile home park came to us desperate for help when the owner decided sell the property. Many of them have no idea what’s going to happen next.

After we aired that story, we got an overwhelming response from viewers.

So many people writing in to us offering to help. One viewer says he owns 21 mobile home parks in Texas, he’s offering to be of assistance. We got some other emails also. One person says she owns a 2-acre property willing to help. One person says they’re a local mobile home transporter, they’re willing to give folks a discount.

We decided to bring all of those emails to the people in need to see if there’s anything that can help them.

Judge Lina Hidalgo’s office offered a list of potential resources that we passed along. We were also told that since Deven Clarke went there the first time, representatives from Love Homes, Clayton Homes, Friendship Homes, and Welcome Home Communities all came out offering great discounts and packages.

The work is not done. The people who live in the community are having a community garage sale on November 9th from 7-5 p.m.

The address for the sale is 9206 Havenway Ln, Houston, Tx 77064

If you have more ideas to help please email Dclarke@kprc.com.
