HOUSTON – DJ Cubanito, also known as Alex Carmenates, is a prominent Latin DJ and remixer based in Houston, Texas.
Currently ranked #60 in the “Open Format” category on the World DJ list (as of 2011), DJ Cubanito has performed in renowned clubs across the U.S., Europe, Mexico, Canada, and South America. He has contributed significantly to Latin dance music, not only through live performances but also as a journalist, producer, and radio show host.
His remix work includes chart-topping tracks like Luis Fonsi’s “Aqui Estoy Yo” and Paulina Rubio’s “Causa & Efecto.” DJ Cubanito has also received numerous awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2003 Latin Dance Music Awards.
