HOUSTON, Texas – A man has been arrested and charged after police say he stabbed a woman to death in the Meyerland area last week.
Michael West, 48, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police found a 33-year-old woman stabbed to death inside her apartment.

On Saturday, Oct. 12, Houston police responded to reports of a shooting at the apartments located at 5440 Braesvalley Drive and found the woman unresponsive with multiple stab wounds.
A witness told police they saw a man inside the woman’s apartment. While still investigating the woman’s apartment, officers received a phone call from West who wanted to turn himself in for questioning.
It’s not clear if West’s charges will be updated to murder for the stabbing.
