NORTH HARRIS COUNTY – Authorities are investigating after a man was found shot to death at an apartment complex in North Harris County on Tuesday night.
An off-duty police officer discovered the man lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds at an apartment complex in the 15100 block of Ella Blvd.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. when the officer, who was working security at the complex, found the victim, a man in his mid to late 20s, unresponsive. EMS arrived on the scene and pronounced the man dead.
Deputies recovered three bullet casings near the body, along with what appears to be a gun. Surveillance footage from the area captured another man, possibly in his late 20s or early 30s, who also appeared to have been shot.
Deputies discovered a blood trail leading to another apartment, where a second man had been transported to the hospital by private vehicle.

Investigators are also reviewing additional surveillance footage that shows two additional men fleeing the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.
