It happened at a home on Spicewood Lane off of John Ralston Road. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office say the three people killed were two brothers along with the alleged shooter.

During the domestic situation, the woman involved, ran from her home, with her two teenage sons, to a neighboring home. That’s when deputies say her boyfriend followed her and that’s when some type of fight took place in the front yard. Two men, who were brothers, came out from the neighboring home and they were shot and killed.

There was then an exchange of gunfire between a third brother and the boyfriend. Deputies say the boyfriend then ran back to his home and shot himself, taking his own life.

”She came to the three brothers house after attempting to get help. All three brothers came outside. Two of the brothers were shot and killed by the suspect. The third brother began shooting at the at the suspect. That’s when they exchanged gunfire and our suspected shooter went inside his own residence. And we believe that’s where he shot himself,” says Sgt. Jason Brown with the Harris County Sheriffs Office.

Investigators say there had been previous calls to the residence before for family violence.

Deputies say the woman and her two teenage sons were not hurt. They, along with the victim’s brother are cooperating as deputies continue to investigate.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office identified the two brothers who died as Edward Lopez-Robles, 50, and Luis Lopez-Robles, 31. The third surviving brother is 40-years-old. The suspect who died is identified as Carlos Guerra, 30.
