HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A woman, described as in her early 70s, was taken to a hospital after authorities say a stray bullet came into her home and grazed her.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened in the 15800 block of Wax Bill Ct. in northeast Harris County, near Humble.
The woman was reportedly sitting in her home when the bullet grazed her. She was taken to a hospital and is said to be in good condition.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the incident appeared to be a case of random gunfire and there is no indication that it was targeted. Gonzalez also reminded the public of the dangers of random or celebratory gunfire.
“Engaging in this activity can lead to legal charges. Innocent people can be injured or killed,” he said.
