Houston woman, husband accused of kidnapping and shooting wife’s lover

A Houston couple has been charged for trying to kidnap and kill a man the wife was having an affair with. (KPRC 2)

HOUSTON, Texas – A husband and his wife are currently behind bars after allegedly kidnapping and shooting a man the wife was having an affair with.

Hana Ahmad Alolaimi and her husband Omar Mahmoud Bishtawi have both been charged with aggravated kidnapping.

On Saturday, Oct. 19, officers with the Houston Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in west Houston around 9 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man had been shot twice in his thigh area.

According to court documents, Alolaimi and her husband, Bishtawi, conspired with one another to kidnap and kill the man Alolaimi was having an affair with.

Court documents state that both Alolaimi and the victim were married but having an affair. When the victim’s wife found out about the affair, he ended things with Alolaimi.

Police said Alolaimi met with the victim at the Chick-fil-A and told him to get inside her vehicle, and when he did, she tried to drive off. Then, according to court documents, Bishtawi jumped from under a curtain in the backseat, put the victim in a chokehold, and pressed a gun up to his head. When the victim tried to get away, Bishtawi allegedly shot him twice in the thigh.

The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

According to court records, the couple turned themselves in and gave conflicting statements to officers.

Alolaimi’s bond is set at $75,000 while her husband’s bond is set at $100,000.
