HOUSTON – Houston Police are searching a property in west Houston in connection to a missing persons investigation.
Police say they are following up on a lead in the 1700 block of Elmview Drive.

According to HPD, the person had only recently been reported missing, but could have been missing for as long as 10 years. The department says officers were also at the same location on Monday.
Texas EquuSearch is also at the scene and are working in the backyard of a property using heavy equipment.
The owner of the home and the property tells KPRC 2 the home has been vacant for a while and she gave police permission to search the property and conduct what they needed to do.
Details on the missing person are currently limited.
Investigators have wrapped up for the night, but authorities say they plan to be back tomorrow to continue searching and digging on the property.
