HOUSTON, Texas – Early voting started Monday, and already, Harris County and Houston residents are breaking records by showing up at the polls.
In the first three days of early voting in Harris County, a total of 242,000 people showed up to vote, which is very close to the early votes cast during the first two days of the 2020 election when 243,686 people voted by the second day.

Statewide, the Texas Secretary of State shared on X that about 870,728 people came out to vote in person on the first day of early voting.
On the first day of early voting for the November 5 election, more than 800,000 Texans voted in person at the polls.
