Ogg said two Mexican nationals, Sebastian Valencia, 33, and Abraham Hernandez, 34, were arrested when officers raided the north Houston meth lab.
Both men have since been charged with possession with intent to deliver over 400 grams of methamphetamine.
The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Houston Police Department, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, and the Montgomery County Constable’s Office.
Special Agent in Charge Danny Cuomo said that authorities are working to determine if Valencia and Hernandez were connected to any gangs or cartels and any other affiliations the suspects may have had. He said he believes that Mexican cartels are likely involved.
The DEA said they busted more than 20 meth labs last year in the Houston area.
