Voting early? How to avoid long wait times in Harris County

Tired of the long lines? There’s actually a way to find out the average wait times at certain Harris County voting sites

HOUSTON – Have you voted yet? As of this writing, you’ve got about 10 days left before Election Day.

But if you’ve been worried about the long lines, fear not — there’s actually a way to find out average wait times at various polling sites in Harris County.

It’s actually pretty easy, but for those who might not know, don’t worry, we’ve got your back!

Start by going to Harrisvotes.com

From there, if you scroll a little down, you’ll see a bunch of selections in red with different things voters might be interested in. In this case, you’d click “Vote Centers.”

That’s when you’ll be taken to an interactive map of Houston. You will need to put in your address, or zip code and it will give you several options of polling sites near you.

Once you’ve selected a location, it will give you an average wait time, and from there, you can decide whether or not you want to go to that location or find one closer.
