As Breast Cancer Awareness Month continues, a brave woman fighting the disease was given a special day by a Houston-area boutique.

Yolanda Davis is battling Triple Negative Breast Cancer. As you can imagine, fighting this disease takes a major toll on someone, and Davis often finds herself feeling ill and lacking energy. Because of this, Martha Elmore of Humble’s IMarE Boutique wanted to give back to the brave woman.

In partnership with the Houston-based program Pretty Girls With Cancer, Elmore’s boutique created a special day for Davis.

On Monday, Davis entered the boutique expecting to receive new clothes, but she was surprised with a complete makeover and glam session. Joined by her daughter, she tried on pink outfits, in keeping with the color of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

After her makeover and a photoshoot, Davis was given an all-expenses-paid dinner at The Warwick with her husband to complete her special day.

This is the second year Elmore has held a makeover for a cancer patient, and she plans to continue the yearly tradition to give back to some of Houston’s bravest women.
