HOUSTON – Halloween is just one day away.
We have been talking about rain chances for Halloween and that still looks to be the case.

However, it looks like the rain should start letting up the later we get in the day, which is good news for trick-or-treaters.
KPRC 2 will send push alerts Thursday letting you know when it is a good time to head out the door and trick-or-treat in your area.
This is how the forecast looks for tomorrow evening starting at 4 p.m.
Trick-or-treat forecast
The cold front responsible for Thursday’s rain chances looks like it will be moving through the Houston area around 4 p.m. for anyone thinking about starting early. Areas to the north of Houston, like Conroe and Huntsville, will have the best chance of being dry early on.
5 p.m. looks to be about the same with the rain situated on the southern side of the Houston area.
Showers and storms will still be around at 6 p.m., but they should begin to taper off a little more.
By 7 p.m., rainfall looks to get even lighter across the area. A few areas could still be getting wet, but as a whole the rain will be a lot lighter for most.
By 8 p.m., most of the area with the exception of a few pockets of rain should be dry. Streets may be damp so be aware as you walk and trick-or-treat.
Have a very fun, safe, and happy Halloween.
