HOUSTON, Texas – Two people are dead after a vehicle crash and fire in northeast Houston Saturday evening.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said deputies responded to reports of a crash in the 13200 block of Wallisville around 6:30 p.m. and found a car on fire.

Gonzalez said two bodies were pulled from the burning vehicle, and both were pronounced dead at the scene. Four vehicles were involved in the scene, which Gonzalez described as a “fairly large crash.” He said one of the four drivers may have been driving the wrong way.
At least one person has been transported to the hospital.
All traffic is being diverted to Normandy Road and Maxey Road while deputies and first responders investigate the scene.
