HOUSTON – Newly released surveillance footage shows the moments leading up to the shooting death of a beloved landscaper, Bradric Kuykendall, 32, on Oct. 1.
The alleged shooter, Imran Davis, remains at large over a month after the incident.

The shooting happened at a gas station near Hillcroft Avenue and Airport Boulevard.
KPRC 2 reporter Corley Peel spoke with Kuykendall’s mother and sisters. They returned to the scene where they shared details about their devastating loss.
“Bradric is missed. So, so, so much. He’s missed by his kids, his family, his friends. He is a very well-respected person,” said Kuykendall’s mother, Letitia Kuykendall.
Surveillance video shows Kuykendall leaving his landscaping truck to enter the gas station convenience store. Shortly after, a red car pulls in, briefly stops by front of the store, then drives away. Kuykendall is then seen running back to his truck. The red car circles back, the driver is believed to have shot from the car, striking Kuykendall multiple times, killing him.
Investigators believe Imran was the shooter in the car and drove away after the shooting. Records show Davis followed Kuykendall to the gas station after the two got into an argument over illegally dumped trash that Kuykendall is believed to have left in an area near Davis’ home.
Kuykendall was rushed to the hospital where he died.

“I don’t think he should have lost his life over simple trash,” said Letitia Kuykendall.
Kuykendall’s family said they have never seen Davis before.
“I just want you to know that you took a life for nothing. A life for nothing. From his kids, his family, everything. Just please do the right thing and turn yourself in,” said Letitia Kuykendall.
Kuykendall leaves behind three young daughters. His family continues to plead for answers and hopes Davis will soon be brought to justice.
