It happened around 9:30 p.m. when deputies were called to Evolve Champions Apartments on T.C. Jester Boulevard for a shooting in progress.
When they arrived, investigators said they found an unidentified 17-year-old boy, dead, from several gunshot wounds. Some witnesses outside told officers they heard the shots being fired but weren’t around to see what happened.
They did, however, see a car fleeing from the scene and later reported finding the teenager before calling 911.
