Manvel police officers rescue three dogs from pond (Manvel Police Department)

MANVEL, Texas – Three dogs are now back safe and sound with their owner after finding themselves in a bit of a scary situation Monday morning.

Two Manvel police officers got a call around 6 a.m. Monday of the three dogs who were found stranded inside of a pond. The dogs were struggling to get out of the pond, which was lined with a bulkhead.

Acting quickly, the two officers, identified as Sergeant Peters and Officer Garcia, were able to snatch the dogs out of the water and bring them to safety.

“Hey, come here, it’s ok, come here,” one of the officers can be heard saying in bodycam video of the rescue.

The three dogs appeared tired and frightened and were brought onto dry land and given immediate care.

“We want to make sure everyone keeps an eye out on their animals as this pond has a bulkhead and not a bank,” the Manvel Police Department said.
