Preliminary investigations indicate the man was climbing the tower and appears to have fallen onto the platform. Firefighters from the Apple Springs Volunteer Fire Department, with assistance from the Groveton Volunteer Fire Department, performed the recovery.

The cause and circumstances surrounding the fall remain under investigation, and authorities have not released further details at this time.
