A Houston family is searching for their 12-year-old daughter after she ran away from home. They are afraid she is now being trafficked.

At around 10 p.m. Monday, HPD officers responded to a welfare check reported by the girl‘s parents, who believed their daughter was at a gas station on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Houston’s southside.

When authorities arrived, the vehicle they were looking for—a black Chrysler 300—sped away.

After briefly losing sight of the vehicle, the car was later found, which started a chase.

A short time later, the suspects fled the vehicle.

Officers arrived at a house on Longwood Garden Way and detained everyone inside, hoping to find the victim and the man who was driving the car in the chase. Unfortunately, neither were located, and they are still missing.

HPD sources said the girl is Black and stands around 4′11″, weighing 120 pounds. Her family said she suffers from mental health issues.

The man she is supposed to be with is only described as being in his 20s.

Anyone with information on the girl’s whereabouts is asked to contact HPD at 713-308-0080.
