A 76-year-old man has been arrested and charged after authorities said he inappropriately touched a Channelview Independent School District student last week.
Calvin William Morris has since been charged with indecency with a child - sexual contact and is being held on a $50,000 bond.

On Friday, Nov. 8, Channelview ISD released a statement to parents saying that an Aguirre Junior High School student was walking to school when he was approached by Morris who then inappropriately touched him.
The child told authorities and Morris was eventually arrested.
School officials said the student’s parents were immediately notified, along with other parents and community members.
“The safety of our students is our highest priority, and behavior that threatens their well-being will not be tolerated under any circumstance. To further safeguard our students, additional officers were deployed to the area,” Channelview ISD wrote.
Court records show in 1974, Morris was charged with a sex offense against a child - fondling and sentenced to five years probation.
A few years later, in 1982, he was charged with a sex offense against a child - fondling and sentenced to two years probation.
Morris is due back in court on Feb. 11, 2025.
