A man wanted in connection with a double stabbing in Grimes County was arrested early Sunday morning in Corpus Christi, more than 150 miles away, authorities confirmed
Officials identified the suspect as 35-year-old Elpidio DeLeon Gonzalez, also known as “Leo,” who was apprehended after the violent incident.

The Texas Department of Public Safety located Gonzalez early Monday morning after an hours-long manhunt.

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office reported that Gonzalez allegedly stabbed a man and a woman at a mobile home park behind Shiro Grocery Store on Sunday evening.
Both victims sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to Houston for treatment. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.
Grimes County Sheriff’s Office initially issued a warning to the public, urging residents not to approach Gonzalez, who was considered armed and dangerous.
The investigation is ongoing, and Gonzalez is expected to face multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
