On June 17, 2017, the body of an unidentified woman was discovered under the bleachers at Bayland Park in Houston. The woman, estimated to be between 43 and 65 years old, had a recognizable face and was approximately 5′5″ tall, weighing only 96 pounds.

She had medium-length brown hair, brown eyes, and long fingernails with traces of turquoise nail polish.

At the time of her discovery, she was wearing a blue t-shirt, black fleece shorts with pink skull-and-crossbones designs, and an adult diaper. She was partially covered by a blue and green blanket.

Unique items found on her included a white metal ring featuring porpoise designs and a white metal watch with a pink plastic band.

Despite DNA and fingerprints being available at the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, her identity has remained a mystery.

The Harris County Medical Examiner determined her death to be accidental, but little else is known about the circumstances leading up to her passing.

Efforts to identify her have so far been unsuccessful, leaving her family—if they are still searching—without closure.

If you have any information that could help identify Harris County Jane Doe or bring answers to her case, please contact the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
