Her name was Nancy Adleman, a loving wife and mother, who headed out for a jog that peaceful evening night in 1997.

It was the last time anyone saw her alive.

Wednesday night, in a bonus episode of the KPRC 2 Investigates award-winning true crime docuseries ‘The Evidence Room,’ we’re exploring the chilling murder of Nancy Adleman, and a gripping investigation that would reveal her haunting final words.

‘I forgive you,” she said. “Do you know God?”

“I think what made this ultimately a death case was to be looking your killer in the eye and saying, ‘I forgive you; I forgive you’” said Josh Reiss, chief of the post-conviction writs division of the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

“That makes this case different.”

‘Forgiveness in the Face of Evil’ premieres Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. exclusively on the KPRC 2+ livestream.
