Do you recognize him? Man wanted for kicking and stomping woman before stealing purse in North Houston

Houston police are asking for help identifying a man accused of assaulting a woman outside a convenience store in north Houston on November 9. The suspect allegedly kicked and stomped a woman before stealing her purse.

Police say that he made sexual advances toward the victim while she walked toward a store in the 16200 block of Imperial Valley around 8:00 p.m.

The woman is later seen on surveillance footage running away from the man after their initial encounter. He chased her and hit her with something knocking her to the ground.

The victim says he then kicked and stomped her. She managed to get up and run into the store while the suspect reached for her purse.

Surveillance footage showed the man walking away with what appeared to be her purse tucked under his arm.

Initially, he followed the woman into the store but then went back to his car and left the scene.

Police described the suspect as wearing a black shirt, pants, and white shoes. He was seen driving a beige or gold Chevrolet Impala, model year 2000 to 2005.
