Authorities arrested a driver accused of fleeing after fatally striking a man and injuring a woman in a hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning in west Harris County.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. in the 6000 block of Addicks Satsuma Road.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the victims, identified as Keturah Palmer and her boyfriend, were walking in the roadway when Yusdenis Llano, 39, struck them with his SUV. He then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

Palmer was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, while her boyfriend was pronounced dead at the scene.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared details about the fatal hit-and-run but did not release the name of the man who was killed, as of this writing.
Llano, meanwhile, was taken into custody and charged with failure to stop and render aid involving death. The circumstances behind the crash, however, remain part of HCSO’s ongoing investigation.
