Court records state Muhammed began targeting Canales in 2005 after allegedly obtaining his personal information during a university class.

Her harassment escalated to hacking his accounts, changing his academic records, and sending harassing communications.

In 2008, Muhammed was convicted of breaching computer security for altering Canales’ university transcripts.

Following her conviction, Canales reported receiving alarming emails, fraudulent credit card applications, and targeted social media attacks allegedly linked to Muhammed.

Between May and October 2024, Muhammed is accused of opening multiple credit cards in Canales’ name, applying to universities using his information, and sending emails and mail containing his personal details to his home and workplace.

Investigators found Muhammed’s phone number and name linked to fraudulent applications and documents tied to the harassment.
