Super Feast calling for food donations; facing ‘critical shortage’ ahead of Thanksgiving

Food donation drive for Super Feast

One of the nation’s largest food donation events is calling for urgent donations after facing food shortages ahead of Thanksgiving Day.

In a media release, the organization said that the shortage is due to rising unemployment and supply chain issues.

In an effort to combat the shortages, Super Feast will be holding an emergency food drive on Monday, Nov. 25, outside the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. The drive will last from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

How you can help out

Super Feast urgently needs the following items:

  • Frozen turkeys
  • Canned goods
  • Non-perishable food items

The donations will go towards helping Super Feast feed thousands of Houstonians on Thanksgiving Day.

“Together, we can ensure no family in our community goes hungry this Thanksgiving. Every contribution makes a difference,” the organization said in the media release.
