Thanksgiving Eve Brings Pie Frenzy at Flying Saucer Pie Company

HOUSTON – The Flying Saucer Pie Company is once again at the center of Thanksgiving traditions, with hundreds of eager customers who waited in line for hours for the perfect Thanksgiving pie.

The family-owned business known for its freshly made desserts, is expected to sell 15,000 pies in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.

The first customer in line arrived at 8 a.m. -- the day before. By the time the doors opened at 7 a.m. Wednesday, the line stretched around the building.

“This is our third year coming here,” said one customer who arrived at 5:30 a.m. “We’re keeping the tradition alive. The pies are just that good—everything’s fresh, everything’s yummy.”

The customer purchased seven pies, including pumpkin, coconut, and chocolate. “Some are for my boss, and some are for my son and me,” they said with a smile.
