As the Houston community gears up for Thanksgiving, Super Feast ready to serve the community and also asking for last-minute donations to help feed people in need.

Earlier this week, the organization urgently reached out to the public for food donations. Houstonians delivered on that callout, donating 3,075 turkeys, 632 frozen whole chickens, hundreds of canned goods and new and gently used clothes. Those efforts will make an immeasurable impact on Houston’s underserved communities.
This is the 46th year that Super Feast has been held by the City Wide Club of America, and it is widely regarded as “the nation’s largest feeding and turkey distribution.”
”Preparations for the Super Feast are going very well,” Stephanie Lewis, the regional director for the City Wide Club of America said. “We had a super turkey donation drive on Monday, and Houston really responded.”
Ahead of the big day, Super Feast is reaching out one last time for donations.
The organization still needs 600-800 turkeys and hundreds of pounds of canned goods to meet its goals. Donations will be accepted until tomorrow at 11 a.m. outside the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
According to Lewis, they are preparing to feed over 35,000 people.
Convention Center doors open at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving.
