HOUSTON – First responders have recovered the body of a man from Buffalo Bayou after authorities say he fell to his death in Downtown Houston Monday.

Harris County Pct. 1 Constable Alan Rosen said two security guards working nearby witnessed the man fall near the bridge in the 200 block of Louisiana St. at around 2:50 p.m.

The Houston Police Department, Houston Fire Department, and the Harris County Pct. 1 Constable’s Office all responded to the scene.
Sky 2 chopper flew over the scene, observing boats in the waters of Buffalo Bayou.

HFD says crews attempted to rescue the man, but he was found dead and his body pulled from the bayou.
