Houston – Authorities have released a surveillance image of a suspect vehicle believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old on Saturday evening in Houston.

Houston police responded to reports of a shooting around 6:40 p.m. in the 6100 block of Caddo Lake Lane.

Officers arrived to find the victim unresponsive in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

BACKGROUND: HPD looking for the suspect who shot and killed a man on Caddo Lake Ln.

Investigators say the victim was meeting with individuals in a dark-colored SUV when an argument escalated. The suspect(s) exited the vehicle and fired multiple shots at the victim.

The victim reportedly returned fire before succumbing to his injuries. Dozens of shell casings and a handgun were recovered from the scene.

The vehicle involved, described as a dark-colored SUV, was captured in a surveillance image released by police. Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle or any suspect(s) connected to the case.

The victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
